Dec 06 2017

ManageMyHealth (MMH) is also known as ‘Health Care Online’.  This is a new secure online service that enables patients to view their medical information online at a time that is convenient for them. This is a service designed to enable patients to log into their secure site and:

Registration

To register for MMH you will need:

·         registered as a patient with Whitby Doctors - casual patients will not be able to enroll with MMH through Whitby Doctors.

Start of GP triage

Dec 06 2017
One of the big changes we are introducing at present is GP telephone triage. This means when you ring for a same-day appointment, you will be advised that you will be triaged over the phone by a Doctor or Nurse Practitioner between 8.30 -9.30am. It may be you can be treated over the telephone or by a prescription or by seeing a more appropriate person, other than your GP. If you have an urgent problem, please rest assured you will be seen on the day.

Shared Care Record is live

Sep 15 2017

From 7 April 2014, a summary of your health records will be immediately available to hospital clinicians and afterhours GPs, as the electronic Share Care Record is launched in Wellington, Porirua and the Kapiti Coast.

The Shared Care Record lets authorised health care providers, such as after hours GPs and hospital doctors, access a summary of information from your GP.

Information like your test results, medical conditions, allergies and prescribed medications will be shared. The information will be available at any time, even if our medical practice is closed.

The information is stored securely in New Zealand and all access to the information is recorded and routinely audited.

You can choose to withhold some or all of your information. However, if you choose to withhold your information, health professionals involved in your care, for example in an emergency or after hours situation, may not immediately have information available and this could delay appropriate treatment and mean additional tests are needed.

If you don’t wish other health providers to have access to your Shared Care Record, you can opt-out by calling us on 0800 727 664, telling your GP, or sending a letter to the freepost address below:
