Repeat Prescriptions
If you haven’t already, please request any repeat prescriptions by Thursday 19 December to ensure it can be processed in time. Medication requested after this date may require an appointment if the prescription needs to be completed by a different GP.
Contacting us during the holiday period
Many of our team are taking a well-earned break over the holiday period, which may include your own GP or nurse. As a result, you may need to see someone else if you need something urgently and there may be slightly longer waiting times for responses to MyIndici messages etc. Rest assured that we will respond to your messages where required and you can call us if you need urgent care.
Remember to call 111 if you have an emergency.
Medical care during the holiday period
If you need to speak to a GP while you are away, rather than waiting in an afterhours surgery and paying a significantly higher fee, you can book a phone or video consultation with us from your favourite holiday spot through MyIndici. This is a great option if you need to discuss something or get some advice and we can also electronically send a prescription directly to the pharmacy nearest to you. If you think you need to be physically examined then the local after hours might be a better option, but otherwise we’re here to help.
If you’re in Wellington and need urgent healthcare when we are not open, your best options are:
·Kenepuru Accident and Medical Centre, Kenepuru Hospital, Porirua
·Wellington Hospital Emergency Department, Riddiford Street, Newtown
Neither of these services have booked appointments, so there may be a significant wait to be seen.
Keep an eye here or our Facebook page for updates, otherwise have a safe and happy holiday season and we look forward to supporting you in 2025.
